PEP is sometimes referred to as Plan B for HIV and it can be a good way to take care of yourself while having the sex you enjoy.
PEP, short for Post-Exposure Prophylaxis, is a pill taken daily for 4 weeks, within 72 hours of exposure to HIV. It works by blocking HIV from ever establishing itself in your body. The sooner you start PEP the more likely it’ll work.
If you’d like to take PEP, go to any sexual health clinic or, if none are open, you can go to any emergency room. KONTAK us for referrals! If it’s an emergency, you can call a nurse at 811.
